What is KUBO- OP?
KUBO Organizing Project is our non-profit kapatid/sibling born out of the give-back, philanthropy spirit of our collective entrepreneurs and community organizers with KUBO, our retail and community space in Long Beach, and serves as our platform for sustainable community development. KUBO-OP cultivates creative Filipinx community development via participatory action research and community needs assessment, intergenerational programming, and cultural enrichment in Long Beach & acknowledging our presence in the traditional ancestral land of the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples.
We want to thank Long Beach Health & Human Services with Harold De la Cruz and Shiraya Thompson as our leadership to rally Filipinx organizations for a year-long project to host town halls, survey, and a roundtable for our Long Beach Filipinx community. KUBO-OP will continue to support community assessment efforts and would love to hear from our community members on what programs and services matter the most for you.
